<p>Set in a small agricultural hamlet, but only a few minutes from the typical Charentaise village of Charras, with its chateau, shops and bar/restaurant.</p>
<p><strong>Fifteen minutes drive to nearest supermarkets, banks</strong> etc at Villebois Lavalette or Soyaux.  Bit more to the<strong> thriving Charente department centre of Angoulême, for serious shopping, cultural venues and many restaurants in the vibrant old town</strong>. TGV connections to Bordeaux, Paris and London St Pancras.  Just over an hour to Limoges airport, with many budget flight connections to several UK airports.</p>
<p>Great base to explore this part of France.  Few minutes east and you are in the Dordogne &#8211; 20 minutes to Brantôme.  Go west and travel through Cognac country to the Atlantic coast warmed by the Gulf Stream. <strong>Seaside resorts, fishing villages, seafood and the delightful islands of Ré and Oleron.</strong></p>
